Learning How to Fly

Learning to fly is a challenge on many levels; Mind, Body & Spirit.  A challenge we may choose to ignore because it is outside of our bubble of comfort. The fear of losing all the things that hold us down, the fear of shedding skin, letting go of past perceptions of ourselves- the places where we seem to seek comfort.  The places in our minds where we need to be free; Free from our insecurities that whisper  ‘we probably shouldn’t  fly’, ‘it’s not a good idea’,  ‘what if I get hurt?’.. Questioning your intentions- Where do you plan on going? And why do you want to go there?  Believe in yourself.  There is a sweet spot where you can tinker on the brink of uncertainty but have enough confidence to keep flying.  Finding balance, stability, trust, courage, strength, sense of self and love to guide you.  It’s all there, inside yourself, waiting for you- take a chance and trust yourself.  Confront the thoughts and fears that do not serve your life, be honest with yourself.  Nurture your base, this is what lifts you up and helps you stay in flight. A sturdy base will keep you aligned and balanced.  Grow strong wings to keep you floating above. Keep your center firm, yet able to adjust with the flow of gentle movements.  Hold your head up high and focus on what’s ahead of you, respecting the strength & stability beneath you. The universe will guide you, just follow and let your spirit fly!
